This is a blanket I made for my American Girl Doll. The fabric is white and blue. I cut two rectangles. I chose the cowgirl from Doohickey Designs at Digital Playground to cut on the Cricut and then iron onto the fabric. I sewed the two rectangles together and turned it right side out.
I made a pillow out of white felt to go with it. This is a picture of my doll with the blanket. My Nana helped me, but I designed it all myself. I thought it was fun to use the sewing machine. I learned how to pin, to backstitch, and use the iron.
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Cut It Up: Red, White and Blue
TTCRD: Anything Goes
Thank you for visiting my blog! I had fun doing this project! Be sure to check back with me; I'll have a new project about every other week or maybe more often!
Very cute! I'm sure your doll will LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteYour American Girl doll is very lucky to have a mom like you to sew clothes and blankets for her. I used to do that for my dolls, too. I still have many of my dolls, even though I'm almost 60 years old!!
ReplyDeleteI love the image you chose for your blanket. I've never cut fabric with my Cricut, so you have inspired me!
Thanks for linking to Cut it Up for our Red, White, and Blue challenge!
